Fair Havens is a fabulous structure on Sunset Way, in Passagrille. I was just at Passagrille in April, and if you have been reading other areas on this site, it is an extension of St. Pete Beach. In fact, if you drive along Gulf Way – so incredibly beautiful still, the historic community has been preserved and promoted in a delightful way without compromising their past for the present. There are a lot of people who swell here during the spring break, but it is not on the same busy road that Gulf Boulevard is. Continue reading →
Postcard Inn On the Beach

I have to say I was not expecting this newly renovated inn at St Pete Beach. It is a far cry from the regular hotels and beach inns on Gulf Boulevard. The exterior has been overhauled from the old Travelodge that it once was, and the rooms are hip and refreshing compared to the majority reviewed so far. I feel like I’m in another town. Continue reading →
Plaza Beach Hotel

I have not covered this hotel yet, because my first impression had been from all the funky designs on the front of the building, that I should look for others first. Howsoever, it seems that this is a pretty popular holiday spot and you can’t necessarily judge a cover by its carefree use of the paintbrush, or by bedspreads. Not only that, this place has fantastic ratings by guests. People love this place and I’m afraid I’ve neglected to note this beach hotel when it should have been one of the first to be noticed. Gulf Gate Resort
For you non-smokers, this resort complex will please you as you won’t be opening your door to the waft of stale cigarette smoke from by-gone years. Continue reading →
Beachcomber Beach Resort Hotel

This hotel used to be the Best Western, which is why you may be confused when looking on the web and wondering why you see it, and then you don’t. I am happy to report that this is a hotel that is getting consistently good to high reviews. Continue reading →

Palm Crest Motel

I’m not sure what to tell you about the reputation on this motel. It seems there is a loyalty club here for those who have known the owners since they were on the bottle – baby bottle that is. Continue reading →
Coral Reef Beach Resort Hotel

In all fairness to Vacation Resorts International, although the Mariner Beach Club posted prior to this one appears to be a dud, this next hotel was hopefully going to be more promising, as per my first perceptions when viewing photos. Continue reading →
Marimer Beach Club

Don’t let the term “club” fool you into thinking you have to join up to stay here. Continue reading →
Dolphin Beach Resort

There are apparently a few of these in the world, so don’t confuse this with the one in the Bahamas, Kimikazi, or elsewhere in the world when reading up on this resort. This Dolphin Beach Resort is located at St Pete Beach, 4900 Gulf Boulevard. Continue reading →
Alden Beach Resort

Alden is a popular resort on St Pete Beach. I would call it a hotel and not really a resort. They are located at 5900 Gulf Boulevard and are on five acres with beachfront for your ever loving ocean pleasure. In calling it a beach resort, it is lacking a few of those amenities you might be used to, but based on popularity, it is well-loved and has many return guests. Continue reading →
Tradewinds Island Resort
_
Tradewinds Beach – this is how people search for this resort but the proper name is Tradewinds Island Resort on Saint Pete Beach. Continue reading →
Camelot-By-the-Sea
I’ve walked by this long attractive building several times and wondered why it wasn’t listed on accommodation sites very often. Continue reading →
Voted One of the Best Florida Beaches
People come here to bring families for vacations, to seek solitary time in the sun, to have their wedding on what was voted one of Florida’s top beaches, Continue reading →
Sun-Dial Motel Apartments

Whenever I see the title Motel Apartments, it conjures up in my mind a motel from the 40’s and 50’s, with pink paint and lime cadillacs sitting outside. That is partially true for this motel. Continue reading →
Bon-Aire Resort Motel

Bon-Aire Resort Motel is another one of the older accommodation facilities on St Pete Beach. They have prime space directly on the beach, and one can choose from two heated pools after leaving the lovely ocean waves for the day. They have a restaurant on site, which many of the less known hotels and motels do not – Sandbar Bills Bar and Grille. Continue reading →

Beach Haven Motel
Beach Haven is situated between two high-rise condos. It was one of those neat pink motels built in the 1950′s and although it has been renovated it does have five of the rooms remain with the shower-only in bathrooms. There are six cottage buildings with two apartments in each of the buildings. Continue reading →
Gulf Strand Resort

Gulf Strand Resort is a 6 story apartment unit resort. The rooms are called apartments, and for the price you pay you do amazingly well, because they have one bedroom, two bathrooms, kitchen, living/dining room, private balcony, washer and dryer, central air condition, two cable televisions, clock radio, VCR, DVD player and will fit 4 people. Continue reading →
Island’s End Resort
Island’s End is at the tip of historic Passagrille, and still part of St Pete Beach. You have the entire unobstructed view of the ocean, a fishing dock right there, a private and public beach outside your door and the Intercoastal Water Way coasting by. Continue reading →
Sabal Palms Inn

Sabal Palms is not one of the most well-advertised inns, but it is well worth mentioning. It is located on Gulf Way directly across from the beach in Passagrille, right off Gulf Boulevard and part of St Pete Beach. Continue reading →
Don CeSar Resort

You know how you swear you’ll book at that hotel you could never stay at when you were younger, the one that was filled with first class furnishings and so huge, not to mention more expensive. This is that kind of Florida beach hotel. Continue reading →
Keystone Motel in Passagrille

I’m biased when it comes to Passagrille, which is an extension of St Pete Beach. It’s where I always went as a child growing up, and our first photos of Florida were at the hotel we ended up going to every year, right across the street from the beach. Continue reading →
