Don’t let the term “club” fool you into thinking you have to join up to stay here. This resort has one or two bedroom condos, with kitchens and sofa beds included, and is managed by Vacation Resorts International.

Being directly on the beach, you need not worry about access.

Rates: In the low season from May to December, weekly rates are 700.00 for poolside, 800.00 for Gulf Front side, or per night at 120.00 pool side, 130.00 gulf side. The two bedrooms have considerable difference in price from a one bedroom @ 1000.00 per week or 160.00 per night pool side, and 1200.00 per week, or 200.00 per night gulf side. The two bedroom however is suitable for up to six people, and the one bedroom for up to 4 people. This is helpful especially when you have a large family or want extended family to join you. Deposit ahead of time, with remaining balance due upon arrival and there is a three-day minimum stay unfortunately.

Reviews: I was hoping to have a good overall rating on the next hotel I covered, but this one is in need of renovations and is supposed to begin in August of 2009. That means you may not want to stay here if they are, because your quiet vacation may be interrupted by drills and saws. I’m glad I don’t have a timeshare for August on this one. Call and ask them about renovation work before booking. The reviews up until the last year and a half were generally ranging from fine to great, if you don’t mind dated and outdated looks to your place. I think the photos show that easily, but a lot of people don’t worry about that when they head to a beach front apartment at St Pete Beach. They are going more for the beauty of the location and easy access to the beach, all of which this has. Someone noted that this was the worst timeshare they had been at since the 1990’s, due to its lack of amenities and overall décor. So luxurious this is not.

For Sale: As these are also timeshares, there are sometimes units available for fixed weeks. One just sold or was up for sale until June 1/09 for 3200.00 for a fixed week in February, for a one bedroom condo.

Amenities: There are two Jacuzzis, a heated pool, air conditioning in rooms, laundry facilities, grills to barbeque, colored tv’s. Not sure yet if there is a phone in each room. After my last experience at a hotel in Passagrille, I will always ask that question prior to booking. It doesn’t mean I won’t stay there, but at least I’ll make sure I have a cell phone or something close by to use. Bring your own beach chairs.
